I have been working at AlliedBarton full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

The site I work at has the best benefits and PTO/Vacation. The rules are the rules, you have simple guidelines to live by, be to work on time, in the right uniform, at the right post and do your job. Honestly, the easiest job I have ever had, even as a supervisor.

    Cons

No shift differential. Somewhat hard to move up, unless you are one of the "Good ol' boys." You are constantly on call, even if you have a set schedule, expect to be called in and don't plan too much in advance.

I have been working at AlliedBarton part-time (more than a year)

    Pros

It really depends on the site. At my site, the pros are:

     - free time

     - co-workers who aren't horrible

    Cons

    At my site:

     - insulting pay

     - degrading uniform

     - disrespect from everyone

     - schedule changes week to week with pretty much no notice

     - hostile management

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    I worked at AlliedBarton

    Pros

Solid reputation and ability to transfer inside the continental United States.

    Cons

Failure / Disconnect with needs of middle management from upper management. Lack of diversity in upper management and failure to maintain talent at mid-manager levels. Overall company culture is not aligned with pool of available management talent and fails to acknowledge the benefits of a diverse group regardless of educational achievement or abilities.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Focus on diversity within upper management. Remove selection process from local teams and distribute selection process into operation area not related to hiring need area.

I worked at AlliedBarton full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Depending on the contract you were being hired for. But you get more overtime in this job and is really good for students who are in school.

    Cons

The pay is a little bit standard as compared to other security companies. The pay also depends on the job contract.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

They are friendly especially the HR

I have been working at AlliedBarton

    Pros

It's a paycheck...similar to working for any other security company.

    Cons

Company stresses promoting from within yet promotional opportunities do not come as they say.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stand by your word and do not micromanage your employees. If you had enough faith to hire them then keep the faith and let them do their job.
