I worked at Allstate full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Very good compensation schedule, high level training, quality products for your clients.

    Cons

If you are an insurance agent, you are captive, compensation structure for agents is a higher percentage the first few years of contract then decreases.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue to innovate and stay cutting edge with marketing and brand recognition. Add bonuses to compensation throughout the contract, especially for new business.

    Pros

PTO, Helath Benefits, Incredible training, Engaging co-workers, managers. etc. Allstate is a great company.

    Cons

I don't have anything negative to say about the company. I will admit that the hourly pay rate could be better but the overall compensation package is great.

I have been working at Allstate full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Great benefits, great opportunities to move around if you can develop the right relationships. Good work-life balance...

    Cons

Too many leadership changes. Every time a new leader gets transferred into a department they want to make their mark and end up changing too much. Leaders never stay in one place long enough and the employees suffer. Impacts efficiencies, and progress...

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop the rotations. If you continue to rotate, get to know what the departments direction is before making changes.

I worked at Allstate full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

I enjoyed working at Allstate and would have never left if I was not outsourced out of my position. The people are great, and the technology was constantly evolving. Initially it was equally focused on the Customer, Stockholder, and Employee, and it was fun to work there, as there were frequent employee activities, rewards, and recognition. Regretably that changed to focus on just the Stockholder, and much of the fun dried up.

    Cons

First came downsizing, and then offshore outsourcing, those who remained were double and triple tasked. Told their motivation to do a good job was to keep their jobs.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The leadership from the Director level down is terrific, they listen, and care. Upper level management should be aware that if you value quality service for your customers, then you need employees that are invested in your success and not contracted outside the company overseas.
