Very Flexible work-life,friendly and open environment ,food is very good

    Cons

growth is very slow, management is not good, for extra work hours they are not giving any encouragement in terms of benefits and compensations..

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

plz maintain the level of amdocs..... recruit only those people who have talent not because of they are from pune or referred by your friend.. use human resource efficiently and assign people projects and work according to their work filed and interest.

I have been working at Amdocs full-time for more than a year

    Pros

If you are lucky enough you will get good team to work with. Working environment is good. Lot of training sessions. Job Flexibility.

    Cons

No sure and definite proper growth. Company can show you the doors when ever they want. Increments are very low and at times nill if you are a avg performer and just too concerned with your work and not goofing around with managers or directors. This will give you an insight.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management is just for name sake. They need to focus more on employees than on processes. management cant accept a change even if they agree that its good. Too main stream.

I have been working at Amdocs full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Good work culture!!!! Lively atmosphere. Some perks.

    Cons

More of mundane testing/support projects in India location. Year after year perks and hike is getting lesser as they have started focussing more on quantity of recruits rather than quality of recuits.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Think of restoring the brand name of amdocs as it used to be sometime back.

I have been working at Amdocs full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - Good start-up package for freshers
    - Provides many facilities
    - Good work environment

    Cons

    - Salary hikes are worst.
    - Company can put you any any part of SDLC (testing/support/dev) and that too randomly. They will not consider your interests if you are joining as a fresher. This is worst.
    - Management is not that good. (seems like this is the problem with every company)
    - Company wants you to work 12-15 hours a day without any good compensation.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    - Please keep employees happy if you want them to work whole-heartedly.
    - If work type along with promotions and hikes are reaching expectations, there will be no reason to leave the organization.

I have been working at Amdocs full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Even I joined this company, I was never planning to stay longer. but I stayed. Why? Because this company used to have great culture, good values and gave me an opportunity to learn. I travelled across various places and people were kind enough to teach me.

    Cons

-the credit goes to the person who makes a lot of noise.
-Managers don't care about employees health. I've to come to office after knee injury and mgmt didn't care that I need one month rest. I can forgive them but my knee has not yet recovered after six months as I was working after 1 year. They can say to you 'We don't care about injury. This is your problem. We want this issue fixed.'
-Innovation is discouraged by team mates. the atmosphere is poisonous.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Become human! if you really wanna grow as company, award people who innovate and thrive to solve the problems, not award the people who make them bigger and earn brownie points.

    Anyways, you are sinking ship!

I have been working at Amdocs full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great transport facility - timely and of good quality
Good in-office meals and refreshments - Good quality food and fruits available to employees
Nice infrastructure - Good office space, facilities, washrooms.

    Cons

Too much dependence on one specific customer/client.
Freshers and new hires do not get to know how they are being milked.
Training and knowledge development is neglected.
    career levels:
Subject Matter Expert.(Funny, they are subject matter experts at the beginning of their careers. But this designation helps employees get good job outside :-). )
    SSME(Senior SME)
    Group Leader/Expert
    Manager/Sr. Expert
    Director
    VP
    Management(This is a designation here.)
    Eli.

Most of the employees when are qualified and eligible to be promoted, they only get roles but not the pay or designation.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Setup a budget pool for knowledge development, proportional to the company's financial standing.
Increase the no of levels so that employees do not grow old in between the current levels.

I have been working at Amdocs full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Less politics in comparison to other companies. But it depends how is your manager.

    Cons

Hike these days is in single digits. All the perks are slowing going away because of Indian Management.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

TO Indian Management - By putting pointless cost cutting measure the image of the company is going to dust.
