    - lots of travel under the companies dime
    - opportunities to move up in management
    - young managers get to recruit, hire, train, and manage multiple college interns

Not worth it and kind of a scam

    Sales Team Leader/Sales (Former Employee)

ProsFree sales training (though the training week is exhausting and the constant parties/drinking get on your nerves)
Meet lots of business owners and students from other schools

ConsLong hours with little pay (less than $4 an hour on a "commission" basis for 40 hours a week when you do the math)
B2B sales that involves chasing down clients on your own gas (and most of the time they don't buy)
A lot of pressure for not a lot of reward
Product you are selling can be expensive and hard to sell
    Very few actually make commission

Advice to Senior ManagementImprove the product and app (broken app) and pay your interns higher commission or at least minimum wage.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

I'm sorry the program did not meet your expectations. We certainly work hard to create the right expectations during the recruiting process. My hope is you'll see the value of the training and ... More

My experience with University Directories was rewarding, challenging and life-changing.

Sales Team Leader/Sales (Former Employee) Fredericksburg, VA (US)

ProsYou get hands on experience in B2B sales.
Management, including the CEO, is there to help you every step of the way.
    Great resume booster.
    Best training.
    Paid internship.
Career partners specifically look for UD alumni to hire.
    Improves communication skills.

ConsLong days. If you aren't willing to give 110% this may not be the internship for you.

Advice to Senior ManagementYou guys are the best!

Got me where I am today

Outside Sales Representative (Former Employee) Bellingham, WA (US)

    Pros-Amazing opportunities
    -Fun
-You get out what you put in
    -Great culture

I now work at Amazon.com selling marketing and that 100% because of this internship

    Cons-Not completely transparent
    -A little bit $$ hungry

They tried to charge for a flight that I had zero obligation to pay for, a little stingy, but hey, gotta make that dollar

Advice to Senior ManagementManagement kicks ass, but there needs be more honesty and transparency across the board in terms of the product, how it works, and the way its presented.

Best college internship for marketing/sales undergrad students

    Sales Team Leader/Sales (Former Employee)

Pros- Puts you in a position to get a great job after school - I now work for a career partner who LOVES recruiting from UD
    - Can't beat the training your receive
    - Gain experience talking with business professionals
    - Managers offer career advice, review resumes, and serve as great references
    - Competitive environment
    - Reward for success
    - Ability to earn commission, but you have a $200/ week minimum
    - PAID internship

Work your tail off, and you'll be set for a job after college.

Cons- Not compensated for gas money

Advice to Senior ManagementFind some way to monitor actual performance vs. recorded performance (lying about number of calls a day)
