Good company to work for.... Not a lot of room to move up.

Customer Care Specialist (Current Employee) Springfield, OH (US)

    ProsConsistent
The people who work here are really great!
Company does a lot of little treat/surprises for employees

ConsNo Real Room To Move Up With The Company
End of Year Pay Increases Are A Joke
Only 1 Annual bonus with company around Christmas Time
Twice a month Pay Schedule (15th & last day of the month)
Cafeteria food is Expensive and Gross
No real chance of ever getting a schedule change... Make sure you are hired with a schedule you can see yourself working for a LONG time

Advice to Senior ManagementIf you have employees do additional work such as being trained on multiple clients, being cross trained in core/loss drafts, pay them for it! Stop hiring team leads and managers based off popularity!

ProsAssurants benefits are good, but not as good as they used to be.

ConsMicro-management. of employees Dwells more on negative aspects than positive ones. Management is not flexible.

Advice to Senior ManagementQuit micromanaging! You have good employees who do their job well.

The interview and training was not realistic for the actual job.

Customer Care Specialist (Current Employee) Springfield, OH (US)

ProsThe location was nice and the benefits were decent.

ConsThe training was not sufficient for the job, they promise support upon release to the floor. Support from team leaders is almost non-existent. My team was actually in the same training class as me and retained less information. The expectations of the clients are not reasonable for the type of calls that come in.

Advice to Senior ManagementFully train team leaders, managers, and trainers first. I would also suggest a better escalation process for irate customers. Being told they will get a call back in 1 to 2 business when people are on the brink of losing their homes is not right. Also I would suggest explaining the mandatory overtime requirement in the interview instead of just surprising people when they receive their schedule.

Nice company, nice people, some shenanigans

Senior Procurement Analyst (Former Employee) Miami, FL (US)

ProsVery flexible environment, friendly people, family friendly, lots of amenities (cafe, gym). Kinda of place you can work at for years. Good work balance.

ConsSome questionable management behavior and lack of HR intervention. 82% women make up the site I worked at. Men not promote as much.

Advice to Senior ManagementMangers and directors need coaching on how to overseeing a team and proper behavior and speech.
