Current Employee – been working at Avery Dennison
Pros – Development taken seriously in the organization.
Friendly work environment. Organizational culture is collaborative and open.
Truly International. Possibilities for international assignments/relocation are common.
Dynamic and interesting work. Values job enrichment.
Cons – I have nothing significant to contribute to this section. Some of the main locations where this company operates may not be very desirable, and over the past few years the organization has gone through many changes that can be a bit distracting.

Current Employee – been working at Avery Dennison full-time for more than 10 years
Pros – Avery painesville at one time was thr best place to work. The management in the 70's 80's and 90's involved the employees on team to deal with issues (FEA members). In 2000's Avery went degree for all management from teamleader up and thats when it went sour.
Cons – Micro managed, misleading on issues, no retirement or benifits when you leave in the future from avery. I would not by stocks anymore in this company. the CEO will take a large raise and stock option while the workers on the floor didn't get a raise for a couple of years.
Advice to Senior Management – Hope that Stan Avery cannot get out of his grave because you all will most likely loose your jobs. Look at the OSHA and labor laws closer and start following them to be a better place to work
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

Current Employee – been working at Avery Dennison full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – Great people. Coworkers (the ones that have chosen to stay among the turmoil) are fantastic.
Leadership sometimes gives their LA Clippers/Lakers/Kings tickets to employees.
Opportunity for international travel
Cons – Leadership does not communicate business direction.
Layoffs always around the corner, very stressful.
Re-organization and re-structuring 2+ times per year.
Hard to do process improvements with shrinking budget.
Advice to Senior Management – Share your vision for the direction of this company. A lot of us are worried, and are not getting any answers.
