Current Employee – been working at CIT Group full-time for less than a year

ProsPay... maybe. CIO is new, and there's hope.

ConsStifling, bureaucratic, extreme administrative overhead. People cannot seem to execute on new. Stuck in hierarchy and fiefdoms. The market they're in is rife with opportunity but the "guard" stops any innovation in it's path. Antiquated infrastructure with zero tools for collaboration.

Advice to Senior ManagementClean house.

Livingston, NJ (US)

Former Employee – worked at CIT Group full-time for more than 8 years

ProsSalary, benefits, and vacation were good

ConsTop management is systematically purging all of the loyal employees who kept the company going through bankruptcy, taking on multiple roles and stepping up to get the job done. This will eventually haunt them when the economy picks up and the brain drain is controlled by the employees not management.

Advice to Senior ManagementBe faithful to those that run the business day-to-day and treat them with some respect.

Current Employee – been working at CIT Group as a contractor for less than a year

ProsIts a going concern. Very good and knowledgeable senior management, always engaged in new business plans for the growth. Good work culture. Everyone comes up to table with innovative ideas participating in healthy brainstorming sessions.

ConsIT infrastructure is not bad but can be better with a little improvement.
More integration needed between the departments.

Advice to Senior Managementstart looking for employees on full time basis. As by the time contractors get equipped by the work , their contracts expires.
Look for more in-house application / software to reduce the licensing fee.
