    Pros

I love the working environment, the people, the high level of knowledge of the professionals, the growing opportunities. I had a great experience.

    Cons

It's not a very international company.

    Advice to Management

The company should consider to expand in foreign countries given that the US market is stable.

I worked at Cardinal Health as an intern

    Pros

The culture and people are very welcoming at Cardinal. They are quick to promote young talent and all work teams are very cooperative. No strong hierarchy is present, which is rare at such a large organization

    Cons

The benefits aren't great. Many coworkers thought that their compensation was fair but by no means excellent.

    Pros

The company offers good benefits, and they are genuinely concerned with keeping their employees happy. There are many opportunities to provide feedback about your work experience, and there is constant dialogue between the workforce and management. Employees are an integral part of the policy making process.

    Cons

Everyone starts on the overnight shift, and because turnover on the day shift is low, you can expect to continue doing nights for at least a couple years. By the same token, promotions are challenging to get because you are competing with people who have 10 years or more experience. Hours are frequently long and the work is physically demanding. Sometimes you will go for weeks putting in 10-12 hour days, on your feet that whole time, with infrequent breaks. Other times you may struggle to get a full 40 hours. Because the business needs change regularly, they go through frequent rounds of lay-offs, often followed a few weeks later by a big hiring push as the overtime skyrockets. In the 5 years I worked there, we went through 4 rounds of layoffs.

    Advice to Management

Something to keep in mind about overtime: When the day shift works a couple extra hours, they still get home in time to eat dinner with their families, pursue hobbies, get chores done, etc. In othe words, they still have a life. When 2nd shift has overtime, you are interfering with their sleep schedules and their ability to interact with the rest of the world, which is detrimental to their health and well-being.

They take the time to fully screen candidates to ensure the best fit for the company. Cardinal looks to help one grow their career, not just fill a position.

    Cons

    Great company to work for.

    Pros

Salary and benefits are satisfactory. Work-life flexibility is outstanding. Flexible work arrangements are generally supported. PTO is pretty great (150+ hrs/year). Leadership seems really adaptable to changing healthcare industry. Lots of opportunity to try new roles/functions. Changing positions is encouraged to develop new skills.

    Cons

Salary and benefits could be better. It's a standard corporate cube farm environment.

    Advice to Management

Adapt the "Fuse" atmosphere/culture to the main office.
