I worked at Cardinal Health full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

I feel that this company is doing great work, and was proud to work for them. I only left because a better career opportunity was offered to work in the field I really wanted to focus on.

    Cons

I guess if it is a con for some people, there is a lot of walking involved in most positions because they have such a huge warehouse.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Same advise I would give to any manager, just ensure you are listening to the actual concerns that are brought to your attention.

I have been working at Cardinal Health full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Good company to work for. Strong management team, very good benefits, excellent resources to do your job.

    Cons

Employees working in the field seem to be separated from the corporate culture. By that I mean that communications, advancement opportunities, etc. are more targeted to those working in the corporate headquarters than those in the field.

    Pros

    The coworkers are the best!
Starting pay for night shift without experience is great! The benefits are a major plus!

    Cons

Experience doesn't mean nothing 13yrs in a warehouse. U still start with the same pay as someone with no experience. I've worked for cardinal for almost 4yrs my raises have averaged to be about 2.50.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay your experience people! How about a bonus for the warehouse worker and cost of living!

I have been working at Cardinal Health full-time

    Pros

There is decent amount of paid time off given when first starting and the benefits are good. Most business functions have flexible hours to accommodate various schedules. Opportunity to work with a variety of product lines to gain experience.

    Cons

There is a high turnover rate, unstable business units with constant reorganizations every few months. It is difficult for advancement and there is no focus on career growth/development. It's not a typical 8-5 job for marketing, sales, R&D, and quality units. There are several conference calls at nights to work with international teams.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management needs to engage their employees to keep them motivated and excited to work for Cardinal Health.
