Current Employee – been working at Cbeyond full-time for more than a year
Pros – It is a great place if you are just getting into the sales game. If you can last 6 months you can get a job anywhere doing sales. weekends off are great
Cons – the technology is outdated no one wants T1's and the prices are not an easy sale. plus turnaround time on closing a deal can be 1-3 months. long work days 7:30 meetings out on the road all day and then back to the office at night.
Advice to Senior Management – invest more in new tech

Current Employee – been working at Cbeyond full-time for less than a year
Pros – Experienced VPs, managers and sales reps are here to help the others improve their skills. Continuing trainings keep your skills sharp.
Great culture. Great product.
Cons – Hitting 50 businesses in a day is difficult.
Sales is not easy. The folks who put the work in and are able to persevere through customer rejection (which comes with any sales job) will succeed.
Advice to Senior Management – Instead of monthly quotas, how about quarterly?

Former Employee – worked at Cbeyond full-time for less than a year
Pros – The generous commission package allows one to easily pad their salary. The sales training is some of the best in the industry.
Cons – The office is very micro-managed. You will ALWAYS have a manager at your side no matter how well you are producing. The cold calling can be extremely demanding.
Advice to Senior Management – Allow more responsibility to sales representatives with proven success.

Current Employee – been working at Cbeyond full-time for less than a year
Pros – Everyone is very friendly. Excellent training. Great commission structure. Potential is high if you close a lot of deals. You need to do a lot of cold calling in order to build your funnel. Knocking on doors from business to business. Lots of incentives.
Cons – When cold calling some people are very rude. There is a lot of micro management. This job is not for everyone and can be very stressful. You need to be able to focus on knocking on as many businesses as possible in order to close deals. The turnover is very high. Lots of different faces every month.
Advice to Senior Management – Returning to office daily makes a hour of lost time.
