customer service

Former

Pros – very young people you work with
easy to get hired
bonus $$ for being bilingual
good training week where you learn about the company, product, and know your co-workers
you get your own cubicle

Cons – they don't tolerate tardiness and very strict with break-time if you over a second they'll get back at you
Too many rules. Changes on how to do things happen every week
stressful job because of rude customers and the pressure to make your quote
supervisors are always on the look out for mistakes you might make. This adds more stress to the job.
very high turn over rate

Advice to Senior Management – create a nicer environment. ask employees opinions

Miserable call center work environment

Former

Pros – Two week training was great, pay was good.
Per pay period stipend paid for being bilingual

Cons – Get micromanaged regarding lunch/breaks and on quality assurance; ridiculous pay formulary after probation period ends that depends on your number of calls rec'd so you never know what your paycheck will be; hard to get paid time off since never any available; no chance for advancement since they do not like to promote from within; very little interaction with management unless it is to let you know what you are doing wrong; deal with rude callers on a daily basis.

Advice to Senior Management – Pay better, have more positive interactions with employees, and you will keep the good employees.
