I have been working at Cintas full-time

    Pros

The best local GM in our group! 4 day work week. Good benefits......medical, dental, vision. etc. Always looking to promote within (if you want and do a good job), managers will help you get to where you want to go. Job security. Superb corporate culture; very few companies have humble, professional and ethical higher ranking officials like Cintas. Bonus potentials with performance incentives. Great local partners (Employees).

    Cons

Lack of communication of local management (everything is always a surprise). Manual labor mixed with professional is physically and mentally draining. Long work hours very little work life balance.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

More communication to employees and treat employees with the same competitive urgency as you do your customers meaning.....its bad when you loose a customer and is bad when you loose an employee!

    I worked at Cintas

    Pros

Learn how to work. Do this for 2 years and leave.

    Cons

It's unintelligent work. They pride themselves on cold calling because they're too rigid to promote networking as you have to give away any sale made out of your territory (multi location deals are a joke). There is an antagonistic comp plan for sales and service that leads to friction instead of collaboration.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management? My manager stole from me by not providing any transparency to my sales commissions, and when I finally got it I realized that he had adjusted multipliers on products I sold to 0. He was evaluated on keeping sales expense down so I'm sure he got a large bonus from stealing. Great company.

I have been working at Cintas full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

3 day weekend, benfits, nice people you meet working with you, helpfull and bright

    Cons

Pay is, low 4%/commission on the route thats 6k a week with 275 base pay salary meaning u will work 50hrs a week not even make $500 b4 taxes. You will never hit your #s to get the bounses they talk about. You will have to load your own truck, no over time pay they pay $5 hr is crazy. Too stressful and very high turn over, only old guys stay there because they got grandfather in with better pay and much bigger $ amount routes .

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay your people some money and buy new trucks, worked there 6 month truck broke down 4 times already 14 year old truck

There are so many opportunities to move into new positions. Cintas is great at compensating employees on their performance.

    Cons

Large company so issues at the local level can be over looked.

I worked at Cintas full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Good, down-to-earth co-workers, free uniforms, decent salary and benefits. I liked their focus on safety and wellness.

    Cons

My division was often forced to use outdated, substandard tech to get the job done, because we were told the money wasn't there. Poor management and communication, on the whole.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to your employees! And reward people who do a good job with tangible rewards, not promises of advancement that never materialize.
