    Pros

    company value, corporate values and brand name

    Cons

    unattainable quota, too many middle management, lack of work from home option (even though citrix is a complete mobility company). people who contribute is not the ones who get promoted. the ones who got the better pr skills are speed tracked for promotion. cumbersome admin tasks for sales people, instead of selling we end up fixing things.

    take away the office politics and get different teams to work together instead of petty department heads ego

    Lower than industry pay
    Location well outside Sydney
    Promotes work/life balance with no evidence of such
    Promotes remote workstyles with no evidence of such
    Poor management
    Lack of on-going support/training
    Very high staff turn over - 30+ in 18 months, when looking at the actual size of the division (peak of 27) this is insane

    Look at:
    - Compensation
    - Location
    - Training

    Good sales people DO NOT necessarily make good management.

    Focus on developing your staff.

    They focus on maintaining a strong culture and provide good options for flex-work to help with work/life balance. They try to build products and solutions that address current customer needs.

    Cons

    Product marketing gets ahead of product capability. Static workforce makes career development difficult/slow. Broadening portfolio of offerings is impacting focus and execution.

    Devote more focus to achieving product maturity, especially for new product lines. More structured career planning is necessary to retain employees if longer-serving staff are staying for life.

    can feel layered and disconnected. Acquisitions can yield a lot of chiefs.

    More focus on end user satisfaction, ease of use, delight. Every Citrix product should feel like GoToMeeting, Dropbox, Evernote...

    Pros

    Great team, laid back environment with plenty of resources available to expand you knowledge. Growing innovative company with plenty of potential. Highly recommend to work here if possible.

    Cons

    Too comfortable. Very easy to sit on the job. Sometimes it may be difficult to find answers to what you are looking for however this can happen when working for a larger organisation.

    Continue doing what you are doing. Company does all it can for the employees and you will continue to sustain great staff retention.
