Current Employee – been working at Citrix Systems full-time for more than 10 years
Pros – Work-life balance (our story)
Dynamic - depending on role, pace of change is fast. Strong adaptation skills required.
Respectful - Have hardly ever been in a situation where others are disrespected.
Great people - Overall, smart people that like to work collaboratively and want to help Citrix succeed.
Cons – Location, location - As with most technology companies, the cool kids with the cool jobs are in the West Coast.
Rewards tenure/loyalty vs results - While results dont go unnoticed, tenure and loyalty can sometimes lead to poor decisions with staff selection.
Talent management - Long tenures at same role leads to some staleness and resistance to change. Needs better talent management with programs designed to recycle capable staff through the organization.
Advice to Senior Management – MarkT has done a tremendous job. Like every high performing team, sometimes you need to bring in senior talent from the outside, something that does not happen often for "non-strategic" departments (those mostly based out of Fort Lauderdale). Ultimately, these organization can have a big effect on Citrix's ability to conduct business.

Current Employee – been working at Citrix Systems full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Citrix has some great, relevant and market leading products. Skills in Citrix technology are in demand across all industries. Citrix provides a very flexible workplace.
Cons – Over the years Citrix has cultivated a community of partners and customers with strong loyalty. It is now turning into a machine. It has lost that "start-up" feel that encouraged staff to go the extra mile. Citrix in APAC allow their team team to walk over customers and partners in order to reach targets. The result is a team of selfish individuals where morale is low, and a toxic, demotivating atmosphere exists.
Advice to Senior Management – For Citrix APAC, lead by example, foster greater teamwork, and create a sales culture where business is conducted in a normal, ethical way.

Pros – They offer Good salary, good offices, great benefits..regular overseas trips. A good brand and technology. There is high level autonomy in your role
Cons – your ability to play politics is the most important attribute of working at Citrix ,,if you need values driven leadership and strong consistent management -then I would avoid Citrix if you can
Advice to Senior Management – When you go to the expense of doing employee surveys be sure to take on board the feedback and actually act on it

Former Employee – worked at Citrix Systems full-time for more than a year
Pros – Working for Citrix as a Technical Support Engineer has been the hardest job that I have ever had, beside serving 4 years in the Air Force at a remote base straight out of high school. This position, Technical Support Engineer has been a challenge. No one support call is the same because every call is a different company’s network environment to troubleshoot with unforeseen and unpredictable supported or non-supported Citrix variables. Sometimes customer are the worlds brightest minds of various company’s IT Administrators who have Citrix issues that they are not able to resolve and sometimes customers are entry level IT Professionals with zero Citrix experience.
Any job seeking IT Professional looking to push yourself to the limit and find out what you are truly made, I challenge you to join the Citrix Team. You will work very, very, very hard and you will be given the chance to learn so much more than you can image. If you can last making it through the frontline long enough to reach that state of Total XEN (ZEN), i.e. that state where every call seems to be about the same type of issue that’s easily resolvable with just a little hard work, then I would say you have arrived at the point of being ready to spread your wings and fly. Fly to the next stage in your IT Career.
Don’t get me wrong the Technical Support Engineer position will challenge you Technically pushing to and sometimes far above and beyond your Technical Proficiency breaking point as it did me time and time again, but once your skills have been fine-tuned you’ll be ready to take on any Citrix Related issue.
For those IT Job seekers wanting a challenge and job that will always keep you thinking, this is the position for you.
For those IT Job seekers wanting a job where change is constant and staying up to speed on current technologies is your motto, this is the position for you.
For those IT Job seekers wanting to just simply give their IT Career a million dollar boost within a good, stable company, then Citrix is the place for you.
Speaking personally, after making it through 1 year and 5 months of service on the frontline supporting XenDesktop, Provisioning Server, EdgeSight Server and most recently VDI-in-a-Box, I was offered the opportunity to work as a Fulltime Permanent Citrix Administrator for a very large and well known employer in the Atlanta Metro Area. It is true, hard work and dedication does pay off, at least it did for me in my case and it can for you too.
My point is this, you think you’re good, but Citrix will make you better.
You think you have troubleshooting down pat, but Citrix will teach you the true Science of troubleshooting.
Apply for the Technical Support Engineer position(s) on the Citrix job portal when they become available and I guarantee you will learn more than what you ever thought possible. The DevA Team, Team Leads and Managers along with other Frontline Support Engineers are all very, very, very smart, know their stuff and will help make your Citrite experience a memorable one.
Yes Citrix gets my vote as a good employer to work for, good place to learn, grow and Polish your IT Skills.

Current Employee – been working at Citrix Systems full-time for more than a year
Pros – Great well maintained, low density seating offices. Laptops and meeting rooms plentiful to help collaboration. Plentiful parking and relaxed attitude to work from home. Regular training and meetings. Technologies and processes constantly updated.
Cons – Technologies moving so fast it can be hard to keep track of direction. A lot of software managers who have meetings relative to engineers.
Advice to Senior Management – More engineers and fewer managers and marketing people and communicate long term strategy to smooth over the fast pace of change, we can't develop and test code overnight!
