Cons – At times, you may be asked to put more than 100%. Depends on the time and phase of project

Pros – Good Opportunities for REAL professionals.

Cons – May need to work Under some Incompetent Architects / Tech managers & Above, Some Incompetent PM and Above. These people are capable of making the LEAST VULNERABLE as scape goats to hide their Incompetence.

Advice to Senior Management – Please Identify some among the lot, who are as described above section(CONS). These go-getters can and have managed their reporting authorities, with out any positive Individual contribution to the project / organization and have risen to higher slots and still enjoying Higher Positions . People who have worked under them can throw more inputs on them.

due to internal projects some times less pressure

Cons – If you join as contract treatment is different
Conversion possibilities while joining they promise one year but it will happen after 2+ years

Advice to Senior Management – If you find good resource and take him as a contract after some time while converting give grade as per his experience. If not possible in same BU give chance to other BU, managers are happy to loss the resource but they don not want that resource to move to other BU.

Advice to Senior Management – Salary hikes should not be only on timed basis but on performance basis too

3) No Strict Timings
4) You will reach the zenith of your career if you stay in this company and work with full dedication

Cons – 1) Manager has the final say.
2) Fired Employees in 2013.

Advice to Senior Management – Please change the ages old model of treating Manager as GOD. If a person is not satisfied by his manager's review, he/she should be given a chance to challenge it.But i have never seen this happening in Cognizant
