I have been working at Comcast full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Great people and great pay. They offer a great product

    Cons

Every time they upgrade the sales software it doesn't work right for about 3 months.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop upgrading the sales software. You are not fooling anyone, you upgraded the software to track us. I don't care if you track us just stop telling us you did it for another reason. No one is fooled.

I have been working at Comcast full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Benefits and perks. Like discounted cable and high speed Internet.

    Cons

Management acts like they care for their Sales people but in reality this is far from the truth.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay fairly. Commission is supposed to motivate you to work harder. The current commission structure doesn't do that. The is the only sales environment that I have ever worked in where working overtime can lead to less commission.

I have been working at Comcast full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

The people with whom I work genuinely care about each other and our customers. We demonstrate this caring by constantly sharing knowledge and strategies to resolve problems and issues. Because we have created a team culture, our customer satisfaction scores have increased dramatically...in 3 years, our scores have improved from dead last in our division (17 of 17) to top 3 NATIONALLY (of hundreds of centers). We recognize that vast changes are still needed and every decision we make on our level is with the intention of delivering a better customer experience and making this a great place to work!

    Cons

Because Comcast has moved to a National Model, at the local level, we no longer have the ability to maximize the strengths we possess - every decision that is made at the corporate or national level is with the intention of improving bottom line results. From a business standpoint, the National model makes sense and improves the majority of the struggling regions, but it places "handcuffs" on the regions, like ours, that have made dramatic improvements using a completely opposite philosophy. Because the nature of business is cyclical, I can only imagine that Comcast will return to a local empowerment level in the future. I can only hope that when/if this does happen, we have managed to retain the employees and leadership who created, fostered and maintained such a positive environment and culture!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please allow leadership to lead. Supervisors and Managers should be leaders - not analysts and administrative employees. We need to hire staff to handle the back-end administrative work and allow supervisors and managers time to be on the floor, working with front-line employees to help them improve. Currently, our model, unintentionally, discourages positive interactions between leadership and employees.

I have been working at Comcast full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Comcast Silicon Valley Innovation Center is an amazing place to work at! The people are amazing and you are always working on latest tech and coming up with new cool ideas. The general feel of the office is like a big happy family, where everyone is looking out for each other.
Some of the benefits include an access to an on-site gym, stocked pantry and lunch twice a week.

    Cons

Nothing that I could think of at the moment.
