I have been working at ConAgra Foods

    Pros

Opportunities to make a difference by being a leader in the consumer foods sales space

    Cons

Selling the brands we have can be difficult. We're number one in a lot of declining categories, hopefully we'll turn them around.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The management teams do a really good job

I have been working at ConAgra Foods

    Pros

The interviewers were very professional and very cheerful. They gave me water and a gift bag after.
The position requires relocation a few times through out the program, which allows for promotion every year or so. The benefits of the company and position are great and make the job well worth it.

    Cons

The room was a little dark and hot. Also, I have to Skype for my second interview and the internet was a little fuzzy.
I wish the salary was higher but you cant complain with the benefits and this being an entry level job.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Skypeing is not Ideal but if necessary make sure it works well on all ends.

Employees are very knowledgeable, however, innovation is limited due to workplace politics and aging leadership.

THERE is honestly not a down side they treat you like family and is normally very understanding. The pay is equal to the work even the overtime.

I have been working at ConAgra Foods full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

The work-life balance is great. Half-day Fridays in the summer, flexible work arrangements and ability to work from home are awesome perks.

    Cons

Company changes like the wind. Lots of turnover and unclear expectations at the lower levels make daily work environment frustrating. There's also a serious diversity problem. If you're a white male wtih a finance background, you'll do very well at ConAgra.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Start valuing diversity of thought, background, and leadership style. Just because someone isn't like you doesn't mean they aren't valuable and worth advancing in the company.

    I worked at ConAgra Foods

    Pros

Satisfactory pay and good benefit packages with wellness benefits & a retirement plan along with vacation eligilbity shortly after being hired.

    Cons

I started working for the Company in the early 90s and it was a very respected workplace. Through management changes this has resulted in a complete turn around. At the end of the day, your performance was not rated on your education or work ethics, but rather how close of a relationship you had with your supervisor. This was also a factor when non-bargaining unit jobs were eliminated.
