Awful Managers to Work For Business Model that is unYeilding

    Former Employee - Anonymous Employee
    Former Employee - Anonymous Employee

    Pros

Co-workers were very good and tried their best in a very limiting environment

    Cons

Managers condenscending, unprofessional, and don't want to get involved. No pay increases for exceptional work because managers take all the credit. The company values are somemthing to live by..not used as a facade to keep shortcomings prevalent and a matter of SOP. Turnover is extremely high and they wonder why! Crane doesn't listen to their customers and find decreasing market share...slowly but surely Crane will become a non-factor in several business segments.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to employees. Business model should be malleable and change with the opportunities. Too much bickering, back-stabbing by all managers is a loss of energy, motivation, and enthusiasm. Crane is tired, past it's time, and lots of double talking by managers and no follow-up.

Some might find their location a bit unappealing since they are based in Stamford and this requires a commute from New York City for a lot of people.
