    Pros

It is a great place to be a graduate. You learn with the best and develop yourself.

    Cons

It can be quite a challenge if you don't work in the right team at the start. You also have to get used to the culture

    Pros

Interns are paid fantastically, and aren't expected to do coffee runs, photocopying/menial tasks, etc. which is certainly a pro. You are integrated quickly and effectively, and efforts are made to connect you with as many people as possible right away, which is fantastic.

    Cons

The biggest issue was that often, there would just be absolutely nothing for interns to do. It was already on the interns to seek out their own work (which I believe is not an effective use of time, given that the vacation programs are so short), but sometimes there was just no work to be found. What made this more frustrating was that you were still expected to be at the office for unreasonably long hours, even if you had no work to do.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try adding a little more structure and guidance to the vacation program! Everything else was fantastic (aside from the total lack of work/life balance), but the fact that the vacation program is so hit/miss is really, really dissatisfying.

    Pros

Deloitte has a very open work culture, excellent mentoring and training programs and amazing leaders to work closely with and gain industry experience.

    Cons

The benefits like in any consulting firm takes a hit because of the revenue model. The work within projects is quite hectic to explore multiple opportunities across different domains and parallel service lines

    Pros

None really. Doesn't compare to the other big4's yet thinks its the best

    Cons

Too much politics. Managers and above review your every move and a slight hesitation here and there will see you out of the company. I chose DTT above another big 4 and regretting my decision all the way.

    Pros

Great learning opportunities, young group of people mostly with optimistic working styles. Good career progression if you can handle the pressure. Access to Partners from an early stage.

    Cons

No work life balance. Support from the business can be thin, especially during busy season.
Unless you're cut out for the work and lifestyle, this environment will be punishing.
Generally underpaid, however training and having the name of the firm on your resume does make up for it in the short term.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Increase pay bands. Consider changing workflow to enable better work/life balance.

    Pros

Good training, good name to add to your CV, usually they will fund further study, as it is a large organization you are likely to make good contacts

    Cons

Low pay, VERY hierarchical; it is a very formal workplace (may be a pro for some people) so you need to watch what you say in front of partners/senior managers (no jokes), very long hours with very little recognition.

    Pros

    * Work-life balance
    * Met some great people
    * Learnt and got required training to get the hell out of Deloitte

    Cons

    * Too much politics at Deloitte
    * Overlooked on certain promotional opportunities because I do not kiss bottom's
    * A lot of people getting promoted who aren't actually skilled, but just good at kissing bottom's and rubbing partner's egos
    * Unequal opportunity when you see a staff promoted every six months in National Finance, from assistant accountant to financial controller of Risk and doesn't know anything and falls flat on her face, cries because the partner abuses her for her lack of knowledge and reporting incorrect numbers.
    * Harsh reality, the performance reviews mean nothing, partner's already choose who they will promote a few months before the performance reviews even finalise
    * Varying salaries even on different staff levels, some senior consultants earn as much as a manager.
    * CA Program has been changed and no longer provides the choices it used to.
    * Due to tough times in financial services, a lot of staff are being 'pushed out' using methods of natural attritions, no promotions, perform them out - ugly truth!!!!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    * Get rid of certain partners, alternate your internal partners the way you alternate your audit partners.
    * Long standing staff with complaints against them should be reviewed
    * National Finance directors/partner's are useless.
