I have been working at Dice full-time for more than 3 years

Pros – Good people - everyone works hard. Product is solid but not spectacular.

Cons – Technology at times seem a little dated. Company does not move as fast as competition is moving in product development. Product team needs to think outside the box.

Advice to Senior Management – Focus on the customer and end users. Use the customer input that the sales team bring in to move the product forward.

I worked at Dice full-time for more than a year

Pros – Excellent benefits, nice people, everyone is very friendly, good bonus program

Cons – Their expectations for project timelines are unattainable at times. IT and Accounting are always battling with little power plays back and forth. IT and Accounting directors are extremely difficult to work for as they do not communicate there needs in a professional manner. Have realistic goals and needs better communication.

Advice to Senior Management – Management needs to give better direction and remember what direction they have given. Inform the employees of the direction they are trying to go in instead making changes constatnly. Stay with one game plan and not change in the middle of things. Have realistic goals.

Pros – Benefits, time off is exceptional

Cons – no room for advancement-not even in my own department

I worked at Dice full-time for less than a year

Pros – Salary was good. Compensation was good. Coworkers were great.

Cons – Lack of communication from management.

I was terminated without so much as a verbal warning, a written review, or final warning. I got a call from my manager, and out of the blue I was informed I was terminated.

Beware a company that lacks communication.

As far as I knew, I was an employee in good standing.

I moved from Colorado to Florida to take this job. In less than six months, I was fired. Again, without so much as a performance review.

I have been working at Dice full-time for more than 8 years

Pros – Talented co-workers, good vacation benefits and over-all company culture amoung lower ranks. SR. Management has the potential to be effective, if there was more oversite on HR practices.

Cons – Out of touch senior management, deplorable HR that unfortunately covers-up or creates problems. Real issues seem to not make it to senior management. Favoritism and unprofessionalism is especially noted. Wistle blowers have been terminated, leaving the rest of us to look the other way or face the same fate.

Advice to Senior Management – Please hire new HR personnel. The current team ia not reporting real issues that could lead to lawsuits if not corrected. In large part the HR Dept is the biggest problem Dice has.

Cons – Senior management lacks leadership direction and future company roadmap

Advice to Senior Management – Don't take achievers for granted.

Pros – Work-Life Balance, smart management, engaging teams. Management seems interested in opinions from everyone and will listen to opposing views without prejudice.

Cons – Conservative management, sometimes intervenes in decisions better left to technical or line managers and staff. Marketing-driven, sometimes at expense of smooth operation.

Advice to Senior Management – Keep the relatively flat organization chart, talk more to end users, even the small ones, be more aggressive with PR at all levels.
