Great employee benefits, difficult to grow outside of US

Field Engineer (Current Employee)

I have been working at DuPont full-time for more than a year

ProsDuPont offers very competitive salaries and extremely good benefits to their employees. The year-end bonuses are decent as well. At least 5% of time must be spent on personal competency training which comes very handy and they also promote/facilitate everyone inside to have their Six Sigma certification.

ConsIt is difficult to grow outside of the US and working in a production facility hinders that even further. Their recent cost-cutting (as in many other companies) has really taken a toll on employee morale, and it has been difficult to integrate the recent company acquisitions. There is always an air of uncertainty because of the divestments the company has had.

Advice to Senior ManagementBe more communicative with employees so they don't fear for their jobs every quarter. Also, make sure that corporate benefits are shared with production facilities as well - motivation/recognition prizes, end of the year events, and so on.

Take Work/Life Balance & Safety First Seriously

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

I have been working at DuPont as a contractor for more than a year

ProsGreat group to work with; most employees have been here for their whole career and are always willing to coach and mentor. This culture screams work/life balance.

ConsLarge company with offices all over the US; not the best at connecting and staying on the same page.

Advice to Senior ManagementAllow leaders to emerge and empower them. Don't be so cautious to make a move and feel the need to hold several conference calls when proposing something "new". Innovation is years behind other large corp.
