Good job for a student or a "carry-over" job

Kid's Club Attendant (Current Employee)
Murphy, TX (US)

I have been working at 24 Hour Fitness part-time for less than a year

Pros-The work environment is great.
-The people are welcoming and personable.
-The job is fairly simple: keep the kids safe, and have fun with them
-The job is not high demand in responsibilities

Cons-The pay is really low. Just think, you're watching dozens of kids throughout the day with a lot of risks and liability potential for $7.50/hour, and at the same time there are teenage girls getting paid more like $10/hour for watching 1 or 2 kids at someone's house.
-The training seemed to be minimal (but luckily it doesn't take much to learn this job)

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend

No one will give you a honest answer and the reason is they don't know the answer.… Advice to Senior Management: Stop lieing! Learn your job! Know what your talking about before you open your mouth! It's funny your suppose to be in… No, I would not recommend this company to a friend More

Decent but limiting in accessing client base.

Personal Trainer II (Former Employee)
Austin, TX (US)

I worked at 24 Hour Fitness full-time for more than a year

Pros: flexible hours dynamic environment somewhat new equipment Cons: performance is not considering the client base if members do not… Advice to Senior Management: integration with trainers and sales should be critical for trainers below the required hours. Additionally the current trainers should be given additional… No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company… More
