Current Employee - District Manager  in  Clifton, NJ (US)
Current Employee - District Manager in Clifton, NJ (US)

Pros

great benefits package
great pay without any experience
company car

Cons

if working in the new jersey area it is not possible to "only" work 50 hours, you will have to put in 70 + hours. If you are single and want to save a good chunk of money than thats great, but with this job you will always work, even if you are off.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

District Managers have no way of talking to somebody if there is a problem with their direct leader. Other than that the Management System is great.

Doesn't Recommend
Positive Outlook
No opinion of CEO

    Pros

    Great salary and vacation schedule.

    Cons

No choice on benefits plan...one size fits all.
Can't go anywhere in th company unless you have been a DM.
    Archaic technology.
Don't allow thinking outside the box...it's the Aldi way or nothing.
No defined career path for anyone.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Start focusing on your employees futures/careers instead of your own. Yes you pay well but money isn't everything.

    Current Employee - Anonymous Employee
    Current Employee - Anonymous Employee

    Pros

The pay is way better than idustry standard but make no mistake, you will work for it. If you are lucky to get a store manager that actually cares about their emplyees, you got it made.
Full time is 20 hours so you are eligable for med benefits at part time hours afer 90 days.

    Cons

The time requirements for throwing a pallet and ringing is completely messed up. They expect you to hurry to get things done yet the cost to the company in broken stock and pissed off customers is much higher.
Never do you get to leave when you are scheduled to leave.
There is little to no communication from store mngr and shift supervisors and if you ask a question, you are looked at like you are completely retarded.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

you said the company was hiring more people to become more customer friendlly but in reality, you hired more so you could expand the stores and put the same amount of work load on everyone.
