I have been working at AT&T

Pros

compensation is good, managers and coworkers are easy to get along with

Cons

the company is so large that nobody seems to be on the same page

Advice to ManagementAdvice

I believe that the company would be much more successful if every department and organization followed the same policies and procedures. Even in just wireless, customer care does not agree with COR, national retail are cowboys, and phone support is a pain.

    I worked at AT&T

    Pros

AT&T is a great company and a great employer. While there is a lot of extra weight in the sales operations and turnover a bit high, the management is usually fair and equitable.

    Cons

Avoid the cliques that are found in Signature Accounts and outside managers. You want to work with a manager and management who has been born and raised AT&T. Outsiders are cutthroat and will turn on you in a blink of an eye.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire good people and make sure they are in the right position. If not, find that good person the correct job and both AT&T and the employee will prosper. Break up the management cliques who are trying to take over the company at the expense of those under them. They use a scorched earth method to self promotion and it's hurting the long-term consistent success of the organization.
