I have been working at AT&T full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

AT&T is very employee and customer focused, you can tell when they make changes, they think about the ramifications on employee's and the customer experience. Although I do feel very confident when talking to my customers that AT&T is the best wireless carrier out their, and that makes it very easy to sell our products & services.

    Cons

While upper management is employee focused during big changes, I wish they would listen to employee's when we all complain about the same thing.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to your employee's complaints, and address them.

    Long Island Market the WORST

I worked at AT&T full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

If you're in an established, high traffic area, and happen to have a motivated staff, you can make a lot of money.

    Cons

Area manager was a total nightmare. Did not know how to manage managers. Daily conference calls if you missed your metrics the days before. Same explanations by managers every day, same response from area manager every day. Zero support from the company when opening a new location. No marketing, no advertising. Full responsibility for building customer base is on the store. Of course, they don't tell you that in the interview.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Look at your area managers and regional managers. Look at the huge turnover in the Long Island market. Half the people I knew at the time are gone now.
