I worked at Allstate full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    - Job security, they don't fire or lay of employees often.
    - coworkers and management we're all friendly and great to be around.
    - management does listen to ideas on improving processes
    - began to change to culture to lower turn over and give more of a work-life balance.

    Cons

    - benefits went down hit, went to a really high deductible. I was paying 300/chk for insurance for my wife and i w/ a 3k deductible.
    - promotions are non-exhistant if you aren't a favorite.
    - like all other companies it's a factory all about numbers.
    - get penalized for customer satisfaction surveys. You can do everything perfect on you file, but if another department drops the ball you get penalized too.
    - you have a ton of meetings.
    - Pay is way less than competitors.
    - CEO's vision only cares about external employees and internal customer satisfaction
    has gone down dramatically.

I have been working at Allstate full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Allstate as a company encourages employees to take care of their families and is head and shoulders promoting a diverse workforce.

    Cons

Promoting a diverse workforce and promoting on an agenda are competing ideologies.
Many qualified\competent and experienced candidates for promotion are actively overlooked based upon an agenda of being diverse no matter what the cost. Many culturally\racially diverse individuals who are promoted without being vetted are unprepared and unqualified for the leadership positions they are placed in, this causes friction in a company that is also actively outsourcing much of it's skilled positions oversees. The company's future is unsure and ultimately they are shedding experienced and talented people much faster than they can replace them.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO
