Not for people who want to slide by in life.

Sourcer (Current Employee) Seattle, WA (US)

Pros-No micromanagement. Everyone is encouraged to do their job the way they think will be the most productive. You're free to be creative in order to be successful!
-Great culture. Dogs, jeans, high-fives, gongs, and some of the smartest people I've ever met!
-This is by far the most innovative, progressive, and collaborative business I've had the pleasure of working for. I'm blown away at this huge corporation's ability to function like a start-up.
-Upper management is very involved in all day-to-day processes. It's a flatter organization than most.

Cons-It's hard work. Every day.
-The organization is ever-changing which makes it difficult to "get used to" your job.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

Not the best place to work

    Area Manager (Current Employee)

I have been working at Amazon.com full-time for less than a year

Pros: Good relocation compensation. 3 days off. Cons: Amazon treats it's employees really poorly. You have no say in what shift you will work...you basically sell your soul to the company. Work extremely… No, I would not recommend this company to a friend More

Not a great place to work as Full-time perm

    Software Engineer (Former Employee)

    I worked at Amazon.com full-time

Pros: lots of money and good benefits Cons: no time to live your life. The hours will kill any family life you want. They hire you and you have a brief honeymoon period… Advice to Senior Management: get rid of the CEO More
