I have been working at American Cancer Society as a contractor for less than a year

Pros – Opportunity to help people. Most employees aren't there for the money, but because they are passionate about their job. Follow their "rules," and you'll be fine.

Cons – Very bureaucratic. Set models and guidelines that you are expected to follow, yet they supposedly encourage out-of-the-box thinking.

Advice to Senior Management – Actually encourage and reward people for being innovative! If you're going to structure yourself as a corporation, you need to restructure your management too.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company
