I have been working at BP full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great pay and benefits. There is a real concern for a good work life balance. Incentives offered for healthy living. Lots of opportunity for growth and experience. You can usually transfer to a different position after a couple of years. Excellent relocation package for qualifying employees.

    Cons

There are some very complex or cumbersome processes to deal with at BP, which can make it hard to get work done in a cost effective manner. Technology upgrades can be slow and painful due to the size of the company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Cut some overhead and simplify processes. They make it tough to compete on the costs of getting work done.

I have been working at BP full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Equal opportunities employer with opportunities to work and develop personally on the global stage. Strong corporate and brand values that tries to do its best.

    Cons

Size and bureaucracy can sometimes stifle growth and ambition, in addition to killing innovation because of the perceived lower risk strategy. This can lead to frustration because of slow decision making and a lack of empowerment and trust of employees - despite the strong human capital base.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Provide more avenues for differentiating across talent base to enable the best opportunities for the best talent while allowing the rest to grow at their individual pace to realize the full human capital resource. The issues are above ground, not under.

    Recommends
    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
