I worked at Baxter as an intern for less than a year

Pros

I felt that Baxter had a collaborative environment, and I was included in experiment planning even as just an intern. I gained valuable study design and laboratory skills as an R&D intern and enjoyed networking with my co-workers.

Cons

Sometimes I felt crunched for time, especially when I needed my work reviewed and approved. I also had to stay late at times to finish laboratory work.

I have been working at Baxter full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Good benefits, options for flexible hours, and the people you work with are generally quite friendly.
There is also a credit union on site for banking purposes.

    Cons

Little opportunity for advancement, High Pressure, and Cost of living increases that do not compare to the new hire rates.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Steering committees for internal software should be comprised of at least 20% of people who will actually use said software.
