Pros

Passionate about customers, too often forgets about people. Company has a great culture and some great people

Cons

I'm sure like any organisation they sometimes forget about those on the front line.

I worked at Boots part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Job fitted in very well with my Uni course. They were fairly flexible on shifts as long as I gave enough notice.

    Cons

Pay was rather low and I wasn't that busy much of the time.

Current Employee - Fragrance Consultant in Bristol, England (UK)

I have been working at Boots full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    Generally fun and sociable team
Discount on Boots products and other products in store
    Fragrance Allowance
Lots of sociable and interesting customers

    Cons

Not focus or targets to work towards
Pulled of to go on other departments
    Boring if store isn't busy

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try to make the job more stimulating with training and give monthly targets, with encouraging incentives. Make sure that consultants stay on their department and are not pulled of to other departments. That way consultants can get a full understanding of running their department, and products.
