Pros

Great benefits, good forward-looking company, great supervisor

Cons

Because the company is so large, there tends to be a lot of red tape

Advice to Management

Allow directors to manage their own teams/budgets; stop micro-managing.

    Pros

Great benefits, Monday through Friday shifts,

    Cons

Union environment, No matter how good numbers are they always find things to get you in trouble for. All rules are black and white, It doesn't matter any circumstances there are no exceptions. They take away ways to make sales and still raise numbers. Will have contests for rewards then take them back after you have won it because they are too busy to let you off phones. When hired you are told it is a sales job but you are 90% customer service with sales every now and then

    Advice to Management

Keep promises to employees. Make commission worth while. don't lie about it being a sales job

Even with decent pay there are many, many dissatisfied workers in New Mexico

    Pros

Good pay and decent benefits. If you have high technology skills and can get in the right place you may do OK.

    Cons

Starting about three years ago when we were still Qwest....management hasn't seemed to care about the workers at all. It's only gotten worse since CenturyLink took over. Endless hours day and night, lack of equipment to do the job, and little work/life balance. Micromanagement like you wouldn't believe.

    Advice to Management

Please, please do us all a favor and find something else to do that more suits your lack of qualifications. The second level of management is redundant and should be eliminated and the company could save a lot of money by eliminating over half of the management in general.
Funny thing, the occupational workforce has been reduced by half in the past couple of years, but we still have about the same number of managers? Wasteful.
