Former Employee – worked at Cisco Systems full-time for more than 3 years

Pros – Great company, great technology, great people.

Huge opportunity to get exposure to some of the most innovative and fast paced technology in the industry.

Cons – Not the startup or growth technology company that it once was.
Culture has changed over the years.
Career and pay advancement is tough. As is with most large companies, there is too much red tape and not enough common sense.

Advice to Senior Management – Use common sense over processes and procedures.
Focus on core competencies and listen to your employees (especially sales teams) when they tell you certain one off products are not up to par.
