Equity Research Associate

Equity Research Associate (Former Employee) San Francisco, CA (US)

Pros- Lot of responsibility
- Exposure to very smart investors
- Good way to learn about the equities business; interact with sales, trading, and other research teams

Cons- Lack of well-defined path to promotion
- Associates often do more work than the senior analyst for half the pay or less
- Citi's internal processes often made writing/publishing reports painful

Advice to Senior Management- Better comp for high-performing associates
- Reduce bureaucratic overhead

    Not some place to stay
