I have been working at Dell full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Great company to start off a career, very flexible with regard to schedule and remote opportunities

    Cons

Dell is constantly re-organizing, segmented, merging, acquiring, hiring and laying off. Always know your value and be able to articulate it very well and without notice

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Encourage more communication between departments and leaders

    Approves of CEO

I worked at Dell full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Very well compensated outside sales force
    No micromanagement
Middle mgmt generally shields you from a lot of the BS
    Decent work/life balance

    Cons

Extremely reactive to external forces - market trends, company financials, etc.
Constant change -- Every Half (cannot stress this one enough)
Can't innovate and acquire at the same time

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't shuffle the deck every single time someone at the VP level changes jobs or leaves. It's ridiculous how little consistency there is in leadership under MSD.

    Recommends
    Neutral Outlook
    Approves of CEO
