    Great, smart people. Engaging projects. Well established company on a serious growth trajectory.

    Cons

    Tough hours. Expectation of significant firm contribution in extra-curricular activities to excel. Travel expected.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    In general, the firm is doing fantastically well, and on an impressive upward trajectory. One piece of advice...whether deliberate or not, the partner vetting process has come to be known as so tedious that many SCs understand that you should exit at the manager level unless you are committed to becoming a partner. This may create some weakness in the SM class...many talented Ms who would be valuable SMs may leave the firm early, while less promising ones with fewer options hang around. Finding ways to incentivize high potential Ms with outside options is probably the best fix here rather than making the partner process less arduous...
