Solid Company, but experience very dependent on health of particular business unit. Don't get rooted in one unit!

    I worked at DuPont full-time

    Pros

Opportunity to get variety of experiences within one company. Chance to cross functions, if you have good track record. Stable company.

    Cons

Very insular view; majority of managment came up through ranks...good "DuPonters" doesn't necessarily mean good business people. Focus on internal processes and scorecards obscures focus on customers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Great innovations lead to great mkt position. Struggle when market is more competitive; need more leaders with diversity of experience.
