I have been working at EY full-time (more than a year)

Pros

Teaming atmosphere
Location
Financial Client base
Accessible partners
Emphasis on learning
The company has a focus on getting the job done. Those who come in as interns or campus hires will be well developed.

Cons

More work needed on transitioning experienced hires. More work on diversity initiatives and making those who arent in the "right" networks feel more connected to the whole team. The variety of work seems limiting, you can get stuck on one client for an extended period of time and not gain other experience

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Increase diversity awareness

    Pros

The only advantage I could possibly think of is something like good on your future CV.

    Cons

Staff turnover is very high, there must be a reason behind it.... pity for those stay around, no experienced new hires, how can the graduates make up the shortage? Probably good for those poor new young faces, fast pace to develop, lads! If you decide to make your way into the hall, be prepared to work 50 and more hours a week plus some Saturdays, and no extra pay or holiday in return. Annually show off the firm's "net profit" increase, on the other hand, the tight budget will let you experience the most discusting xmas dinner and summer BBQ! Secret for the incresed "net profit" - 3 week work load in previous year, 4 day in the current year...

    Pros

good projects, good clients across with some opportunities to work globally. own initiative is madatory and lot of networking in that direction to get on good projects

    Cons

evil people as expected in consulting in london. sadly some or many people get up the ladder with help of politics and manipulation only rather than meritocracy

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    reward talent not politics
