Current Employee – been working at Exxon Mobil

Pros – This companies has many opportunities for you to broaden your experience and knowledge. Mostly engineering/science backgrounds start out at the bottom and work their way into the business and management areas or stay in the technical. Strong (and often times, obsessive) emphasis on employee health/safety and environmental awareness. Excellent training provided.

Cons – As with many large companies there are many layers of bureaucracy. Lots of paperwork and red-tape to get things done.

Advice to Senior Management – Communication is great but would encourage further communication between management and employees at all levels. Invest in the young scientists and engineers and develop young talent quicker. The younger employees have more tools at their disposal to learn faster.
