I worked at Hewlett-Packard full-time (more than 10 years)

Pros

People are respected and given responsibility. I worked on interesting projects and with very smart people. Lot of opportunities to learn new skills. Competitive salary and benefits.

Cons

In recent years cut backs to R&D have caused a lot of the innovation to stop. A lot of good people left or were let go.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Invest in R&D. Don't try to be IBM. Get out of commodity businesses.
