Nice, intelligent co-workers
Flexible working arrangements
Vacation days accumulatded each year

Cons

Continuous layoffs
Transfers to inappropriate positions with no regard for affected employee's career path or happines
Salary cuts which are then returned as a "bonus"

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop being robots who merely hand down directives from upper management
Do not force inappropriate career chanages on employees
Treat employees as people, not numbers or salaries,respectfully, or expect a mass exodous when the economy recovers

    Good compensation package. Fair treatment even for contractual employees.

    Cons

    Lack of support from regional management. Regional management unable to make timely decision and give precise solution.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Remove incompetent resources from their management position. Regional product manager put personal agenda over company's best interest. Poor decision making affects the project progress, damages customer relationship and team morale.

    -Competitive base salary, average/above average benefits package
    -Work/life balance is encouraged, flextime is encouraged
    -Job rotation is encouraged
    -Decent vacation time

    Cons

    -Job burnout happens quickly; not many measures to alleviate
    -Poor IT department/poor resources to effectives and efficiently complete assignments
    -Career movement at the middle management level is often horizontal instead of vertical
    -Highly bureaucratic, lots of "red tape', low visibility
    -Often difficult to to see the end result of one's work
    - Not very diverse

    -Better foster employee buy in to initiatives
    -Create a culture of teamwork
    -Revamp IT department
    -Create more opportunities for career development
    -Better vocalize metrics of employee performance
