I worked at Huron Consulting Group

    Pros

Good business model on the Healthcare side- provides value for clients
Senior Management seems competent and knows the business well
Good benefits and focus on giving back to the community
    Smart, capable front-line employees

    Cons

I found my manager to be heavy on criticism, very low on encouragement and appreciation
Seems to confuse "employee development" with negative feedback (to management: positive reinforcement is much more effective in developing and motivating employees)
Experienced hires can feel sidelined and talked down to especially when bringing new ideas
Many managers don't have experience outside Huron so it is hard for them to identify with people who do

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

One of the top factors of employee satisfaction is their relationship with their manager. This should be the top focus when defining the culture.
Evaluate the reasoning behind hiring experienced hires and if goals are being met. There seems to be a high attrition with experienced hires in certain areas.

    Doesn't Recommend
    No opinion of CEO
