I have been working at Intel Corporation full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    1. Good work life balance
    2. Good benefits
    3. Good technical as well as non-technical training
    4. Some technically talented people around who could guide you, if they have time and you have a relavent project to work on!

    Cons

    1. Poor management
    2. Performance evaluation is highly dependent on manager's 'perception' and not on reality
    3. Too many re-organizations too frequently
    4. Projects get cancelled frequently, as a result employees lose motivation
    5. Due to all the churn, new employees find it difficult to get on-th-job training with sustained projects.
    6. Since organization is so large, there are a lot of political/diplomatic considerations that need to be taken into account, and if you fail on that front, you could get in trouble.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    1. Please avoid so many re-orgs
    2. Take decisions faster
    3. Review an employee's performance yourself, instead of relying on the perception of a previous manager.
