Pros

Intel provides enough resources for your work.
Pay is good.
Interns get Blue-badge status (which is for all full-time employees)
Gives you plenty of time for yourself outside of office hours (8 hours)

Cons

Intel is a hardware-specific company, so I think the groups have many hardware engineers and few software engineers working together. So, it is sometimes difficult to to keep up for a software engineer.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

No, Intel is doing good and the employees are happy.

    Pros

Work with excellent people who will challenge you. Results oriented and focused on the key mission. Develops employees into project leaders and continuous improvement

    Cons

If you're not passionate about what you do, or understand what skills you love to work with, and know how to adapt them to this environment, you will burn out. This is a large technology company that focuses on engineering and manufacturing microprocessors. Every job needs to directly or indirectly support that mission. Like other large corporations, Intel has its share of challenges, and it's working through & despite those challenges to succeed at your job that can derail a career focus. Know what you bring to the table and demand to be recognized for it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't assume owning your own employ-ability means every employee is a self-promotor. Excellent leadership seeks out the untapped skills on their team and enables the cream to rise to the top. Clear the roadblocks from individual contributors delivering the results, and recognize them for their talents that can be overlooked.
