I have been working at J. C. Penney part-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Fun people
    Great flexibility
    Great discounts
    Exciting changes to work environment
    Good advancement opportunities

    Cons

Pay raises would be better, pay is low
Little staff, often have to stay longer then what is needed because of low staff on hand

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Bring the shops to all stores or upgrade and expand some of your little stores, better pay would be great, the company though is great to work for

    I worked at J. C. Penney full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

You have a job that makes some money. The discount you get is 25% and you are allowed special shopping days. They do some recognition of your achievements. I made some friends that I still communicate with outside of that job.

    Cons

They treat you as if you are replaceable. The company has a horrible turn over rate. Because of the new structure of the company if you are not available all the time you get punished bey loss of hours.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Realize that your employees have lives outside of the store. Remember that at one point you were a regular employee and not a manager and remember how hard it was to prove yourself to the hire ups.
