Top financial institution , willing to learn from mistakes, always willing to try new products abd cutting edge applications , the workers

    Cons

greater effort needs to be made from management with remote workers, as with any organization of that size upward communication could be enhanced

I worked at J.P. Morgan full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

-Training was very organized and thorough
-Had great extracurricular programs for networking and community involvement
    -Competitive pay and benefits
-Lots of room for lateral movement into other areas of the company
-Overall a great company to have had on my resume to get to that next step in my career.

    Cons

-Because company is so big, getting a good manager is hit or miss, much like going to a large university, some will be awesome, some not so much.
-Office environment is very corporate and traditional, bordering on impersonal and lacking human element, though if you're in banking one should expect this anyway.
-New and innovative ideas will likely go unnoticed as the company is pretty set in its ways.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Just because you're in banking doesn't mean your offices need to be so darn boring looking! I would have loved to have seen a more modern, innovative, social, and open work set up in the offices as opposed to the outdated land of gray cubicles and 80's era artwork.
