I worked at Manpower full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    Large company, with great benefits.

    Cons

A district manager holds your career's future in his/her hands totally. And if you have an incompetent boss, you have to quit to get away. That district manager doesn't want you to excel beyond him/her. You are an island as a Branch Manager. You don't receive any help or support from your boss or from the Corporate office. I thought that with this company being in business since 1948, they would have excellence in the industry. This certainly isn't the case. What a disappointment.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Spend some of the profits on great technology that is tested out before purchasing. When you have employees who have won awards, and they all of a sudden leave, go out of your way to find out why. Most people leave because of poor management. And, this is why I left.

I have been working at Manpower full-time

    Pros

They have jobs, I guess you cold say? They offer training courses for prospective HR folks?

    Cons

Offered a position online that turned out to be different length than it was in the interview process.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

not much you can do when you have to bend to the whim's of terrible managers and companies. You might think you "offer" them something but even the simplest of scenario's that belief system collapses and the employee is the one left scrambling not you...and certainly not the company. "Company loyaltly" hahahaha.
