Current Employee - Senior Program Manager in Seattle, WA (US)

I have been working at Microsoft full-time (more than 5 years)

Pros

Smartest group of people an any company. Diverse, caring, professional, people do what it takes to get the job done. Not afraid to switch course quickly.

Cons

It is a large company.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Find a way to not be compared to Consumer Companies such as Apple and Google. Enterprise is a completely different market.

    Decent company

Current Employee - Senior Software Development Engineer in Redmond, WA (US)
Current Employee - Senior Software Development Engineer in Redmond, WA (US)

I have been working at Microsoft full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

There are some good people in the company. Good technologies, good products. And the benefit is good (although it is going downhills). Flexible work hours as well.

    Cons

Things can get fairly political from time to time, e.g. promotions, go/no-go on projects, etc. And I don't believe some managers are competent.
