I worked at Microsoft full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Good work (technically) and opportunity to work on cutting edge. Good work culture. Good Perks.

    Cons

Bad management period. There is a reason the company is spiralling down. At middle levels, too much hierarchy to work effectively. Lack of innovation and a lack of charismatic leader, does not inspire cult following like Apple or Google.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Cut down the bloat in middle management. Be the leaders you deserve to be, do not let infighting and politics take you down.
