I worked at NVIDIA full-time (more than 3 years)

Pros

Flexible working hours
work from anywhere based on situation
managers are hassle-free
independently delivery your tasks
sense of ownership
infrastructure (facilities, local IT support etc) at par
Shuttle, food(lunch) service is FREE

Cons

compensation is based on which group (engineering, software, hardware, IT ) you belong to. Least budget for compensation is given to IT per my experience. Your manager is the BOSS - make or break for you

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Improve offshore and onshore visibility for better management which benefits the ICs.

I worked at NVIDIA full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Enthusiastic, meritocratic culture. Great ergonomics - employer really takes care of you during office hours. Free cafeteria, health insurance benefits, travel, internet reimbursements, work from home option. Good learning curve, we get a lot of opportunities to learn and contribute. Work is well appreciated

    Cons

Difficult to take leave when we want. Expected to work on most weekends, 60-70 hours per week of work expected. Pay rise is very low. Understaffed teams, too aggressive deadlines. Same profile in US gets paid way more and they dont work on weekends - very unfair.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If you want a 24x7 design cycle, please get enough staff to take care of work on weekends

Former Employee - Marketing Manager in Santa Clara, CA (US)

I worked at NVIDIA full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

    - Intelligent, nice, and honest people
    - Cool products and potential growth
    - Like a giant startup
    - Open and intellectually honest culture

    Cons

    - Raises and promotions are few and far between
    - Long hrs and lots of work
    - CEO is brilliant but a bit cheap so facilities and operations are cheap and often broken
    - No 401K matching, no accrued vacation, no gym, etc.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    - Don't engage in a price or market share war with AMD, learn from Intel's strategy
    - Don't sacrifice your brand with subpar products to gain short-term revenue
    - At least give raises to keep up with inflation
