Good place to work, but some changes needed

Assistant Manager (Current Employee) Arlington, VA (US)

ProsThe benefits and work-life balance are great.

ConsPay is not competitive, bureaucracy is inefficient and slow to change, systems are old and outdated, promotions are not readily available, internal hiring for analyst jobs rarely happens

Advice to Senior ManagementThe pay scale for branch operations is not consistent with the rest of the credit union nor is it on par with the industry. While the benefits are good, they do not make up for the lack of pay. Also, current structures, policies, and procedures make it difficult to hire, train, and retain qualified personnel.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

Your success solely depends on your supervisor

Transactions - Account Specialist (Former Employee) Pensacola, FL (US)

I worked at Navy Federal Credit Union full-time for more than 3 years

Pros: The pay is competitive and great for the area Cons: You have to request sick days off 21 days in advance. I don't know about you, but I never know 21 days in advance… Advice to Senior Management: Follow up on HR complaints about supervisors. If there is a trend among the staff, then there is usually a problem (when there's smoke,… No, I would not recommend this company to a friend More
