I have been working at Old Navy part-time for less than a year

Pros

The managers are all great and your coworkers are all friendly! Love the fact that we can joke around and make the workday awesome!

Cons

If your part-time the hours do kinda suck sometimes. Only work 4 or 5 hour shifts. Some managers are a little mean.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Maybe you can up the hours for part-time to at least 20 hours since I only get like 15.

I have been working at Old Navy part-time for less than a year

    Pros

I got 8.50 hourly wages but it never went up in the 8 months I worked there
Good discounts if you shop there (I don't)
There are some friendly people but for the most part everyone keeps to themselves

    Cons

Terribly disorganized managing staff, never have enough workers on busy days and have way too many on slow days, I had a few managers that would even hold me over my shift without even asking if I could on several different occasions
Forced to consistantly bug customers with things like "are you finding everything okay?" And then check back with them every 5 to 10minutes till they left the store, even had one manager suggest that we follow customers around making suggestions, creating conversation, and sit with them while they went to register. I'm all for customer service but that was more like harrassment
They DO NOT OFFER FULL TIME positions. Ever. Constantly cutting hours. At 8.50 hrly it was amazing if I got even remotely close to a 100 dollar paycheck with the amounts of shifts they cut.
Constantly hired mass amounts of people to have an increased rollover, had them hire as many as 40 ppl once and when they had gotten done training them all, had to cut shifts to afford paychecks
Had people outside of work constantly complain to me about how messy the store was bc they didn't want to pay enough people to properly and efficiently cover the floor thus resulting in many long recoveries after closing

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get your store organized. There should be no reason to be held an hour and a half over my shift without talking to me first and not answering when I called managers on the radio.
Get more workers in there on busy days, being understaffed doesn't help you in the long run.
Get off your customers backs about credit cards and everything, they don't need to be harrassed about it.
    Offer some full time position.
    Stop hiring in the masses.
